What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a published author, QuickBooks Online Geek, and prosperity and business coach focusing on helping women start and run their small businesses.
Tell us about yourself
I fell into bookkeeping, doing it for my own home daycare, and eventually branched out to help others with their books and businesses.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building a business that has been able to support me and my two daughters, as well as my team members, is a huge accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Work-life balance and mom guilt are real. Having clients that need me and kids that need me, and work I love is a tug of war of where to spend my time.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't wait! You are ready, and the world needs your unique gifts.
- Understand and keep up with your bookkeeping. Not doing this has been the biggest downfall to success for business owners.
- Set clear boundaries with clients and staff. We need to be able to shut work off and be with our families. Boundaries help make that happen.
