Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kelsea Koenreich, Owner of Koenreich Enterprises, located in Lakewood Ranch, FL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a speaker and mentor for women in business. I teach women how to overcome obstacles, fear, self-doubt, and shame. I've spent over ten years teaching women how to become who they need to be to lead as the change-makers and trailblazers they are, so they can feel purposeful and powerful.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business to turn my life around after three arrests and ten years of self-destruction. After committing to taking care of myself mentally and physically and getting the support I needed to change who I was, I decided I needed to use my story to help other women change.

Every day I am driven by my passion for leading by example and showing other women what's possible for their success. I deeply care for the success of my clients and the audiences I speak to, and because of that, I am motivated by knowing I am living my purpose each day.

When I show up for myself and pour into myself, I permit women to do the same. My conversations with clients are centered around how they can feel better, live better, and create businesses that align with their lives and what they want to bring to this world.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is overcoming my past and using my story as an asset to create the life and business I have now. Instead of being hidden underneath a mountain of shame, I made the powerful choice to use my failures as lessons, knowing that if I can rise from rock bottom - women can do anything they want to.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest part of being a business owner is riding the inevitable waves and pouring your heart and soul into things that sometimes don't turn out the way you expected. There are beautiful lessons that come after this, but when you are in it, it's challenging.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Stay committed to your personal development. There is no strategy that will be a quick fix for your success. The best thing you can do is continue to pour into your confidence, worthiness, and belief in yourself.
  2. Don't get distracted by manipulative marketing that makes false promises. Stay in integrity with who you are and what you value, and know the unique gifts you bring to the world - lead with that.
  3. Ask for help. As independent, ambitious women, we want to do it all - but burnout will take you out of the game so get better at delegating, saying no, and having higher standards.
