What's your business, and who are your customers?
My name and I decided to launch my candle collection to help people create an atmosphere through scent where they can make their own rituals. A ritual where they will find peace and practice self-care. Tell us about yourself
My name is Shaina; I was always the one walking down the Ikea isles of Walmart looking for new candles, which scent I liked most, and which vessels could compliment my home decor. I think it was an obsession. But the candles I bought didn't last too long. So I said to myself that I should try and make some myself. Bought my first kit of candle making at Micheal's four years ago and fell in love with the process of making a candle.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
When I had my first wholesale, I was actually at work, and I started to cry, but I made sure nobody noticed, haha! I was so grateful and happy.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I had to practice self-discipline to handle all the planning of running a small business. And I will not forget the long hours. I thought going to work consuming, but running a business is working 24hrs, seven days a week. Even though I get tired, I'm in love with candle-making.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
When you set your mind on s specific goal, learn to take a break or rest but do not quit. Just remember why you started, and do not forget to take care of yourself.

Don't forget to trim your wick 1/4'' before each burn!
