What's your business, and who are your customers?
K'Mae Design Studio is a full-service creative branding studio that helps you build, grow, and scale your business by turning ideas into brands people fall in love with. Our mission is to capture your brand's character through intentional-strategic design and reach your audience with creativity, innovation, and authenticity! We achieve this through brand strategy, brand identity and logo design, website design, photography, and more! We work with aspiring entrepreneurs, small businesses, and scaling entrepreneurs who are motivated to start, grow, and scale their businesses! We also work with individuals looking to capture real moments that tell their stories through lifestyle and portrait photography.
Tell us about yourself
When I first started my business, it was a combination of my passion for designing and photography, as well as my love of helping people create something they were proud of! I was motivated by the idea of making a living out of something I enjoyed and was good at, which was a goal I wanted to achieve. Now, every day I'm motivated by the people I'm helping, the feedback I'm getting, and the progress I'm making. I'm also motivated by the idea of continuing to learn and grow in my work and of continuing to make an impact with my business.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been creating a successful business that has allowed me to provide clients with high-quality, creative design and photography services. I am proud to have built a business that has made a positive impact on my clients and their businesses. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with and help others this way.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being an entrepreneur is staying motivated and focused when facing challenges and failure. It can be difficult to stay motivated when things don't go as planned or when you don't see the results you were expecting. It's important to remember that failure is part of the learning process and is necessary for growth. It's also important to take time for self-care and find ways to stay focused, such as setting goals and celebrating small successes.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Stay dedicated and true to your own purpose! We are all on different journeys to end up at different destinations. Enjoy your own scenic route, and don't compare your journey to others!
- Network and build relationships! Networking is an important part of any business venture. Building meaningful relationships with potential customers and other business owners can be invaluable! As an entrepreneur, you need to create a network of contacts who can help you along the way!
- Have and maintain a work-life balance! Set boundaries and create a schedule that allows you to dedicate adequate time to both your professional and personal commitments!
