What's your business, and who are your customers?

I offer quality and regulatory affairs consulting services for laboratory providers and start-up enterprises in healthcare-related organizations.

Tell us about yourself

As an experienced medical Laboratory Technologist with nearly 40 years of front-line and management experience, I firmly believe that there is a real need for the laboratory to improve Quality Management Systems and to be able to increase efficiencies and effectiveness within their businesses quality processes and programs in order to grow and thrive. I help these organizations to achieve their accreditation and regulatory requirements.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is to see a new laboratory or enterprise obtain its accreditation status. Their success is my success.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is when there are multiple organizations all in very close proximity to their accreditation or regulatory timelines around the same time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start! don't overanalyze the show (which is strange as a tip, as that is the key part of my role in assisting new companies and start-ups).
  2. Learn as you grow.
  3. Keep moving forward "over, under, around, or through" - find a way to overcome obstacles.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

My lifelong passion is to "teach, train, mentor, coach, support' so helping organizations meet the requirements they need to obtain (or retain) their certification motivates me and provides joy and satisfaction in what I do.
