Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with David Kingsbury, CEO of Kinged, LLC., located in Campbellsville, KY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Kinged, LLC., serves as a launch pad for helping individuals and companies achieve their highest potential by overcoming obstacles, expanding possibilities, and accelerating progress.

Tell us about yourself

For years, I worked as a licensed psychotherapist, helping people overcome mental health problems and addictions. I've also struggled with these things and wanted to bring hope and healing to others in similar ways that I have experienced.

However, the healthcare field is extraordinarily limited in its approaches. There are a lot of people that have problems that aren't as simple as a diagnosis or a clinical treatment plan. The best way to make a difference in people's lives was to branch beyond psychotherapy into mentoring people through Life and Business Professional Coaching.

This allowed me the freedom to make a more significant impact by using psychological principles without the confines of narrow or flawed systems. As a healthcare administrator, having built and operated numerous treatment programs, I was excited to use Kinged, LLC as a vehicle to provide consulting services to other business owners or treatment agencies, thereby expanding their capabilities, profitability, and quality of services.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Proving to myself that success was possible and, consequently, proving to others that fulfilling their visions and dreams was also possible, celebrating their victories alongside them.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Finding ideal clients that are committed to their breakthroughs and willing to take the steps necessary to overcome setbacks to achieve their goals.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Put other people first. Your business success comes only to the extent that you genuinely help others. Form relationships before providing services.
  2. Commit to your dream despite fears or obstacles. Let these be motivators, not setbacks.
  3. Take massive action, even when it costs you. Persistence, despite the pain, is the key to growth.
