Tell us about yourself

I started organizing events around the age of 15, conducting gospel musicals, and hosting fun, entertaining social gatherings amongst youth/adults in my local area. I've always been a gifted and talented person who loved seeing others happy. Being from a small Bay Area town of Pittsburg, California, I worked diligently as a small business owner and visionary to inspire growth and individual creativity. Coordinating and hosting inspirational gatherings developing artistic entertainment while promoting the creative arts.

I am also a mother of three wonderful, loving teenage boys who inspire and support me along my business journey.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was when I opened my first store in 2018 at our local shopping mall in Antioch, California. Following in my late father's footsteps, who passed in 2015.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Continuing to press through when sales are at a low peak or getting discouraged because you want to do more to increase your business growth.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Your vision is given to you, so don't allow others to make you feel it's unattainable.
  2. Pace yourself. They are watching!
  3. Take a risk on yourself and don't look back.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Always speak positively about your business.
