Your Personal Beauty Goals - KASE Beauty Bar

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in beauty and cosmetics but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kasie Grinter, Founder of KASE Beauty Bar, located in Greenwood Village, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are an upscale beauty salon providing hair services, lash extensions and lash services, brow services, facials, and more. We pride ourselves on bringing our clients the latest trends and styles in beauty while giving them a comfortable, beautiful salon experience.

Tell us about yourself

I've always been interested in beauty, starting at a young age, from doing my sister's hair and makeup for dances and events to learning beauty tricks to help myself feel more confident. My goal is to make anyone who comes into our salon come out feeling more beautiful and confident. When people feel good about themselves, it makes me feel good and fulfilled.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is starting a business during a pandemic and succeeding and just keep pushing. It wasn't easy, but the hard work, sweat, and tears were all worth it.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing about being a business owner is transitioning to running the business side of things and giving up the control of being the actual service provider.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

First things first, write a business plan. It will make your life more organized, so you don't just wing it. Second, let people help you. You need all the help you can get. Last, don't be afraid to ask for advice and even take business classes. It can help you in the present and your future business.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Starting your own business can be super overwhelming and scary, but if you just take it day by day and check things off, it will help you love every day of building your business. Things won't always go as planned, and take every failure as a growing and learning experience.
