What's your business, and who are your customers?

As a Caregiving Consultant and Care Navigator, it has become my passion and purpose to assist families as they face age-related challenges. With compassionate support and guidance, professional assessments, individualized care planning, and ongoing care management and support, my goal is for family members and those that care for them to continue living a purposeful, healthy, and fulfilling life.

Tell us about yourself

I have a special passion for supporting, guiding, and directing family members to be the best they can be in their caregiving role, to help them make informed decisions, to be prepared, and to navigate the complex issues of caring for an aging loved one.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

To reach a point in my life and career where I am happy and healthy and fully recovered from burnout. I love working independently in my own practice with the freedom to choose the people I collaborate with on the projects that I am most passionate about.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Maintaining a positive and forward-moving mindset. Sometimes thoughts of self-doubt and defeat can creep in, so a healthy, positive mindset is everything!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be patient with your progress.
  2. Get uncomfortable and put yourself in places that are new experiences.
  3. Never stop learning and be curious.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I love supporting and mentoring others to have their own independent practice, especially nurses.
