Tell us about yourself
Throughout life so far, I seemed to always be around other like-minded business owners; where I was then given an opportunity to observe and shadow the basics of starting a skin & haircare brand through mentorship, which sparked my interest in natural skin and haircare solutions. I eventually realized that I needed to learn more about the largest organ, “you guessed it,” the skin and the healthy ingredients that help it function well. So I decided to further my education in Esthetics where I had learned about skin health and the clean ingredients that work for all skin types. In turn, providing me with the rest of the knowledge I needed to create and formulate OMg skin and hair care products. I’m simply motivated by the very essence of nature and all its greenery. I enjoy being able to make products from nature and it's natural resources that help others feel better about themselves.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Well, I never thought in a million years that I would be capable of using my talents and skills to create my own skin & haircare brand from scratch that others would be inspired by.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Having to wear multiple hats and adapting. As a business owner, you end up having to understand and sometimes even carry out almost every aspect of your business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- If you can help at least one person solve a problem, whether it’s through a product or service, you will always be successful.
- Stay focused on your goals.
- Acquire skills that can help you run your business, but don’t try to do everything; know your own limits.
