My business is Kairos & Associates. We work with faith-based organizations and non-profits around the United States.
Tell us about yourself
I am a big-picture person who loves to think outside the box and imagine what might be possible with the organizations I work with. Being an entrepreneur brings me energy and excitement as it allows me to explore new possibilities not only for my businesses but for the communities I am involved with.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Working hard to differentiate my organization from others that work in the same field of expertise. Kairos has been a thought leader in consulting, bringing various capacities and values that are unmatched.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Continuing to keep your brand and its values in front of the constituency. Our work with faith-based and non-profit cultures involves a great deal of turnover in leadership roles. Keeping our name in front of these organizations is a constant challenge.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find comfort in living with the constant stress and anxiety as you develop your business.
- Be willing to fail and see that as growth, not disappointment.
- Don't think you're the only one who knows what to do. Leverage outside advice and expertise to influence your decision-making.
