Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kaci Ikels, Founder of Kaci & Co Wellness, located in Grafton, MA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Kaci & Co Wellness - I am an Integrative Gut Health Coach that helps ambitious moms who are tired, crabby, and constipated to regain the energy they thought they lost with my program: The Energy Revival System - a foundational system for moms who've tried it all!

My customers are moms who might be working inside or outside the home, but their lives are BUSY! They are trying to find that balance of taking care of both themselves and their families well.

Tell us about yourself

I started as a nurse almost 20 years ago. While I struggled with my own health problems, the conventional medical system wasn't able to help me. I found natural medicine, and through the same practices I teach today, I help women to build healthy habits from the ground up! I became certified as an Integrative Health Practitioner to help women just like me - marginalized by the conventional system based on illness, to reclaim their wellness journey based on being well. I don't want women to have to suffer as long as I did to find the answer.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have created The Energy Revival System program from everything I have learned in my training as an Integrative Health Practitioner 2M and my years in the conventional medical system. It is the best of science and ancient practices, designed to help women to find what works in their life.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I had no business background, just a passion for helping women like me, so I had to learn it all from scratch. It was tough, but I am so proud of what I have been able to accomplish.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Just start. You can learn as you go, and every minute you wait is growth that is lost.
  2. Hire help. I hired coaches along the way to help guide me and teach me what I needed to know. Their knowledge was invaluable to shortening the time I needed to grow.
  3. Track your numbers. I'm still learning this one, but if you don't know where you are, you can't make decisions on where you want to go.
