What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a Business/Entrepreneur Coach. My clients are solopreneurs and small businesses that want to build stronger businesses.

Tell us about yourself

My daily motivation is to see other people succeed. If my clients are successful, then I am as well. My goal is to help small business owners think bigger, so they are able to scale their businesses to success. I have 25 years of global B2B experience, which allows me to provide insight to my clients in a global arena.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Never giving up. I know that sounds simple, but there have been days as a business owner when you feel like throwing in the towel would be a lot easier. Never giving up ensures that you will continue to accomplish everything you desire to do.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the greatest challenges is to not focus solely in your business, but on your business. When you are in a building phase, you struggle with letting go of tasks and control, but in order to grow, you have to. Being able to empower others will provide continued success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a solid foundation. Hire a coach to help you get started so that you consider all aspects of your business. It is more than a cute logo and website; you need to have a financial, marketing, and business plan.
  2. Empowering others is key. Even as a solopreneur, empower your family to help you with the business. Encourage your employees to think bigger, bring new ideas, and let them make some decisions.
  3. Take calculated risks. Every entrepreneur knows that starting a business, running it, and growing it, requires risk. Sometimes you will win, and others you will learn, but know how to take calculated risks, which will ensure greater success.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Being a business owner has so many challenges, but the rewards are far greater than you would imagine. Don't allow yourself to burn out, hire a coach! I love to teach business owners to mind their business.
