Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Julie Jones, founder of The Adventures of Julie Jones, LLC., located in Fountain Hills, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a live-out-loud speaker, coach, podcast host, and author. My mission and message are for busy CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs to live passionately in the moment and blow up the box in their thinking. Too many times, my clients are wrapped up in the "have to's" of life instead of experiencing what they "get to do."

Tell us about yourself

I spent a ten-year career as a police officer and a SWAT member. I saw how quickly life could change at a moment's notice, both professionally and personally. Just recently, on November 6th, my husband had a massive seizure, died, and was resuscitated. He has recovered fully; however, it was just days before I was releasing my first book, Stop Waiting Start Living. I had a choice at that moment to put everything on hold or to go on with the release of the book on November 17th. It went on to be an International Best Seller. Because of all the instances of seeing dreams cut short because people think they have all the time in the world, I am motivated each and every day to play and live full out.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Launching my business during the pandemic and having immediate success. This year I am launching a television show on streaming networks. I keep taking massive action and moving forward.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I heard a great saying once...Entrepreneurs give up working 9 to 5 to work 24/7. It's the feeling that there is always something to do, and there is the feeling of not enough time. It's being able to shut off the work, task mode to just be in the moment with family and friends.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Done is better than perfect.
  2. Take risks...if you are questioning whether you are on the right path, just go for it!
  3. Hire and delegate as soon as you can. Focus on what you do best, and leave the rest up to your support team.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

From little on, I have had a servant's heart, and I have always wanted to help people to live out their dreams in their life. I love to connect and collaborate with others to make my community and world a better place. I love to have fun and inspire others to do the same!
