What's your business, and who are your customers?
Juice Reel is a data and technology company disrupting the sports betting space and gaining traction amongst the betting community. Sports bettors connect in their betting accounts from the 300+ sportsbooks Juice Reel can sync from - allowing the bettors' bets (and bet history) to automatically load into our app - which is how Juice Reel captures the cross-market and cross-sportsbook data on its user community. Juice Reel uses that data to provide analytics and insights to our users.
Tell us about yourself
I started this business while working a day job at Accenture and bootstrapped the business with a group of brilliant NYC-based engineers that also had day jobs. Our shared vision for a data-driven betting ecosystem kept us motivated to work for sweat equity every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Crossing 1,000 Daily Active users and having our userbase sync in over $300M in betting handle (dollars risked on sports bets) were powerful and impactful metrics that really made me feel like I was impacting the sports betting community.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The constant day-in-day-put grind to advance the business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Stay with it, don't let other people's negativity discourage you, and trust your gut.
