What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Certified Professional Life Coach, and I serve anyone who has a vision or wants to reach a goal and feels stuck. My work includes identifying stumbling blocks as well as developing strategies to overcome and excel in one's gifts.
Tell us about yourself
I was a highly recruited football player in high school when it was discovered that I had an abnormal growth in my left femur. Doctors told my parents that I could not play contact sports anymore. This frustrated me to the point of not knowing what my purpose was, as football was my identity. After some soul-searching, faith-building, and healthy mentoring, I discovered that my identity was more than sports, and I had a purpose that was greater than myself. This led to my search for my gifts which included public speaking and encouragement. Each and every day, I am motivated by the lives that I have had the privilege to see develop right before my eyes.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is contracting with the NBA, NFL, and MLB as a life coach to not only players (current and past) but also their families.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is finding the right balance between personal and professional relationships. There is a fine line within that, and you much be able to know healthy boundaries, especially as it relates to time management.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My three tips to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today would be:
- Start scared.
- Be yourself.
- Never stop learning, especially about yourself.
