What's your business, and who are your customers?
Atlas Almonds is our almond processing business. We specialize in processing almonds, including the following varieties: Nonpareli, Butte-Padre, Monterey, Independence, Carmel & Fritz.
Kahal Farms is our developing & farming almond orchards. And Singh Farming Company is a management & custom harvest of agricultural land.
Crest Pointe Assisted Living is a residential care home for seniors and anyone who needs help with ADLs (activities of daily living). We operate under the same set of regulations as the large assisted living facilities but offer much more personal and customized care in a home-like setting.
Tell us about yourself
My family is a large part of the man I have become today and my success in the business world. They showed me dedication, strong work ethics, and to dream big by example. Watching my parents as immigrants start & grow their businesses in a foreign world gave me the drive and confidence to strive for my own personal goals. They not only taught me everything I needed to know to be successful but, by example, made me believe it was possible, and for this, I am forever grateful to them.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My personal biggest accomplishment as a business owner is never giving up on my dreams and keeping my passion lit day in and day out.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Business owners' toughest challenge is balancing their personal and business lives.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
It’s important to have passion for not only what you do but to be successful in your endeavors. This passion is what makes each and every day worth going to work.
