What's your business, and who are your customers?
We love having the opportunity to help our customers make their homes a reflection of who they are. Our mission is to provide products that allow our customers to express their individuality and create an atmosphere of comfort. We believe in staying true to oneself, even if it means going against the grain of what's popular at the moment. The customers who come to us have unique ideas and are inspired by our work. Listening carefully to customer feedback and working hard on perfecting our work has resulted in some truly amazing products! We love seeing how happy people are when they get what they're looking for from us - it makes all of our efforts worthwhile.
Tell us about yourself
As a photographer and surface designer, I strive to bring joy into people's lives with my art. Nature has been a never-ending source of inspiration, as well as all the wonderful moments in life. My goal is to help others express themselves in ways they didn't think were possible. By combining nature and design, I'm creating unique works that are truly meaningful and inspiring. Together we have the power to make this world brighter through photography and design, and I couldn't be more excited to continue making an impact on people's lives!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I'm so proud of the fact that I took a chance and bet on myself. It's one of my greatest accomplishments yet as a business owner! Taking the first step to putting yourself out there can be daunting, but it's also totally worth it. It takes incredible strength of character and dedication to take an idea from your head and turn it into something tangible. Being able to do that is such an incredible feeling!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
As a business owner, it can be hard to find the right balance between work and personal life. It can certainly be challenging, but that's part of what makes life so interesting! I've been through a lot in my journey as a military spouse, mother of two teenage sons, homeschool teacher, and parent of a child with autism. I'm all too familiar with the struggles of trying to give equal attention to every role in our lives. But with each challenge comes an opportunity to learn and grow, so I'm embracing this journey by setting priorities and taking time to appreciate everything I have. Life is an adventure - why not make the most of it?!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
If you're dreaming of starting your own business, my biggest piece of advice is to move forward at a steady pace. Take it one day at a time-start off each day with achievable goals that make sense for your business. Even though things may feel overwhelming, trust your intuition and go with the flow! Fill yourself up with confidence that you can handle anything and take the necessary steps to get closer to reaching those dreams. Don't be afraid to take the plunge- you will figure it all out as you go along. You got this!
