My story in one minute:
2009-2011
👷♂️ I was a cabinet maker for a tour bus customizing shop and a metal drummer.
😣 Got laid off in then started doing graphic design for bands.
2012-2016
🤔 Started doing web design and began getting "real" clients
📈 Built my freelance web design business to 6-figures
2017-present
⏰ Scaled my business with a small team to free up time to teach web design
👨🏫 Sold my web design agency business in 2020 (to one of my students) to teach full time

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Helping people gain freedom and a lifestyle they love by building their web design business.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Crafting the right offer and products for an ever-changing market.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start - Don't aim for perfection. Have a good foundation, and go. You will evolve and refine week to week, month to month.
- Run - Priority is way more important than productivity. Focus on the tasks and areas in your business that "move the needle" forward. Don't do a bunch of stuff that doesn't get you far.
- Grow - Delegate the tasks that don't energize you or that can be easily repeated, automated, or done by somewhere who's better suited for that role. The only reward you get for doing everything in your business is burnout.
