What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a motivational speaker who speaks to high schools, colleges, and businesses about mental health, emotional wellness, and purpose.
Tell us about yourself
I have been speaking for over ten years. I am a former athlete and would be asked to speak to local high schools in the area. So, I've always had a passion for helping people become the best version of themselves. What motivates me is seeing the impact that I am making in people's lives. To see the emotional healing that happens when I work with people.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is being able to work with wonderful people every day. Every day that I wake up can make an impact on someone's life. That's an accomplishment for me.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is building consistent clientele. And to keep pushing and working when you hear more "no" than "yes."
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- You will fail more than you succeed (especially early).
- No is not final. No just means "Next Opportunity."
- Ask for advice, not permission. Next, stop learning. Be open to hearing other people's advice on how to accomplish something. But don't ask for permission to live your purpose.
