What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a part-time startup CFO in the SaaS, Fintech, and E-commerce industries. Also, a part-time real estate investor and seasonal personal income tax preparer. I volunteer for multiple Montreal, Quebec-based not-for-profit organizations as well.
Tell us about yourself
Real estate and philanthropy run in my family. I was lucky enough to have great parents. I get motivated by having a purpose in getting goals accomplished. I also get motivated by growth and helping to build a business from the bottom up. Finally, I get very motivated by helping people who have needs, enabling change within organizations, and maintaining excellent relationships with people.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Giving every company I have ever worked for and every person I have ever met a clean state from the beginning and paying it forward.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Managing time while being as efficient as possible with your time to maintain productivity.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Every business starts from an idea; if you have the ability to generate ideas, you have a strong chance of running your own company.
Do your best to be as authentic as possible, and do not copy others. That way, you can end up doing what you love, what you do best, and find your niche in the market.
