Tell us about yourself

The founder of this station was a dear friend, Pam Masters, who passed away from brain cancer. Pam was in the studio with me when I recorded my first single, It's a Girl Thing, as I am also a singer/songwriter at TiffanyCarlen.com. She used my single as her radio show theme song...she was a huge fan. Her children asked me to keep the station going, to keep Pam's legacy alive. It fits what I do, my passion for music and artistry, as well as my passion for supporting small businesses, women in business and community. Motivation comes easy when you love what you do and the people and businesses I partner with.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My greatest accomplishment thus far as a business owner has truly been helping other small business owners connect, grow and flourish. That is what makes up the majority of our talk show hosts, rising stars on the radio, and in business.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the challenges I experience as a small business owner is delegation and giving up control over certain tasks. This happens a lot to small business owners as when we launch our businesses, we ARE the arms, legs, head, and feet, managing every aspect of the business. It takes a reliable team to get it all done.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Create a business plan, and be certain to budget for marketing and advertising!
  2. Know your target market; not everyone is your customer.
  3. Focus on your low-hanging fruit!!!
