Tell us about yourself
I own a personal training studio in Kingston, NY. I was born to be a coach. During the shutdown of 2020, I fell apart because I was coaching my clients. I realized what I was doing was habit and lifestyle coaching. So there came JMC Lifestyle Coaching. What motivates me every day is to be better than I was yesterday. My mission is to make one person smile a day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is surviving the shutdown of 2020 and being able to pivot. This is how JMC Lifestyle was born out of my personal training studio. Also published my very own journal on Amazon.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things is the concept of barriers. Being able to know when to shut off and be a person and not a business owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Hire a Coach.
- Have a 1, 3, 5 year plan.
- Have fun. It won't always be easy but have fun.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
The quote I live by is, "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." I think every business owner should foster this quote.
