Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jill Hollander, Founder of Jill Hollander, LLC., located in Montclair, NJ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a speaker and a certified life and health coach who inspires others to recognize their courage, reframe their challenges and reinvent their lives. As a speaker, I consistently deliver inspirational talks that empower attendees to reevaluate their priorities, eliminate what no longer serves, and shift their mindsets to ones of confidence and resilience.

Whether speaking to individuals about thriving in the face of adversity or to corporations about building resilient teams, I am living proof that we have the power to use the cards that we were dealt to win the game.

As a resiliency coach, I work with two different demographics- tweens & teens, and adults. I work with tweens and teens to help them navigate social dynamics, foster their self-view and self-confidence, develop self-advocacy skills, learn and use executive functioning skills, acquire problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and plant the seeds for foundational life skills now that will set them up for success in the future. I work with adults who want to prioritize themselves and live life on their terms as they become their most authentic selves and create the life they truly desire.

Through our work together, my clients learn my signature process that they integrate into their lives as they recognize their courage by naming their challenge(s), claiming their feelings about it, and using this as a catalyst for change- they realize that they have the power of choice and change- they find their YES by looking for and focusing in what is working.

They reframe their challenges by finding, owning, and using their voice and becoming their own advocate- they find creative solutions by using strategic problem-solving skills- they learn how to hope, cope, and deal.

They reinvent their lives as they: experience the power and freedom that come from tapping into truly authentic confidence- activate their resilience and optimize their lives- they gain wisdom, insight, and fulfillment from living as if tomorrow is not promised.

Tell us about yourself

By recognizing my own innate fighting spirit and conviction at a very early age, I have established myself as an authority on authentic confidence and unparalleled resilience. Simultaneously using the power of my story to empower people to find their YES in every facet of their lives. I help people around the world gain perspective and boldly claim what is truly important.

I was born with a severe congenital heart defect. By the time I was in high school, I had already had two open-heart surgeries. A pacemaker and successfully been treated for endocarditis. Before graduation, I had received a heart transplant - a moment that proved to be the confirmation I long suspected my story was one of purpose. It is meant to be shared so that everyone can discover and nurture the authentic confidence and resilience that already lie within each of us.

My story of grit has gone on to include not just one but six triumphant responses to each Lymphoma diagnosis, every one prompting me to deepen my determination to actively create my life rather than merely survive. During these challenges, I managed to earn my undergraduate and master's degrees, as well as met and married the love of my life.

Today, I consider my story and unique skill set to go hand and hand. I offer my clients a variety of tools and strategies that foster mindset shifts, create self-advocacy and build resiliency. I understand that no matter the circumstance, situation, or challenge, there is always a full body, YES, to be found.

My gift is turning obstacles into opportunities, no matter what.
