What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have a hiking and outdoor adventure blog that showcases locations all over the world. I work heavily for tourism boards and companies that fit my brand in order to create custom itineraries for everyone to enjoy.
Tell us about yourself
My love for travel and the outdoors led me to start my own brand. I love showcasing detailed itineraries, which allow others to experience the epic adventures I do for themselves. Encouraging others to get outside and enjoy this world is my true passion.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Growing a following based on simply being myself and my love for the outdoors.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Keeping things afloat between business expenses and paid campaigns. Feeling burnout sometimes due to being a one-woman show! Between website management, blog posts, and posts across all my social media channels, it can be a lot!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be patient with yourself. Running and owning a business is a constant learning experience. Don't expect yourself to know everything overnight or compare yourself to others. We are all on our own individual and unique journey.
- Persistence is the key to success and growth. Building your brand will take time. Establishing who you are will take time. But when you look back and see how far you've come, it's always worth it.
- You're always getting better. I look back to when I first started my blog and my social media channels. I'm almost ashamed of what my content used to look like, but man, does it feel good to see the progress I have made in such a short time.
