What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm known for my no-nonsense approach to dating during midlife and relationships, and I am proud to say I've made quite the career out of pretty disastrous circumstances, my DIVORCE! With three best-selling books, an award-winning podcast, and a thriving coaching practice, I've designed a resource to support anyone: Whether you're single, frustrated with online dating, hoping to find love again after divorce, or choosing a relationship with YOURSELF…I've got you covered!
Tell us about yourself
Being a divorced-single mom, that's a no-brainer! My kids are watching. I can't (and I won't) give up. It's crucial to show resiliency and perseverance and how I can stand on my own two feet. Quitting is not an option when younger eyes are observing.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The esteem I've gained from my children, hearing them talk to their friends about what I do, they are so proud of me. My most outstanding achievement was having the respect of my two boys. It is my greatest accomplishment as a business owner. I've come full circle.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Impostor syndrome, staying in your lane and trying to drown out the bullshit. Focus on what's in front of you and the awesomeness you bring to the table. YOUR clients, listeners, and followers are there for a reason. YOU.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't wait until you are ready to start, and don't look back.
- You will hear no. You will hear a maybe or two and hear no again. Every "no" is an opportunity to redirect, take it, and don't look back.
- If you're like me, your kids are watching. Keep on going, and don't look back.
