What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a sugar addiction and women's empowerment coach for 20 years. We teach busy female professionals 40-60 years old how to kick and manage their sugar addiction and live their healthiest, most sexy life!

Tell us about yourself

I am a recovering sugar addict and came from a family history of mental illness and depression. After figuring out how to control my own addiction and heal myself of ailments, doctors couldn't figure out (I almost had an ulcer). I created a 5 step anti-inflammation/anti-addiction method that helped me heal for good! So many women my age- I'm almost 48- suffer needlessly because they don't understand what their body is saying. We teach them to understand their own body.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Other than birthing three beautiful children while running a business, I would say employing 4 women who love what they do is my biggest accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It's the ups and down of cash flow, and I wanted to help women who aren't ready to be helped!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Manage your expectations- no one makes a million dollars right out of the gate.
  2. Take care of yourself to avoid burnout. Nothing runs well if you're exhausted.
  3. Clear any money issues you have before starting your biz. They will show up in the biz until you do.
