What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is better solutions for health and wellness challenges. Our customers are busy professionals who are smart enough to look at the current fitness industry and acknowledge that fitness is one of the most failed human endeavors while also being open to the idea that there is a better, more scientific method.
Tell us about yourself
My involvement in life sciences started with my mother being diagnosed with osteoporosis. I developed a medical device to treat her condition; now, it's a huge business with 160 clinics in 10 different countries. The solution outperforms all drugs that have ever been clinically trialed.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Coming into the fitness industry cold, from the medical device industry, and having the fastest growing brand in fitness.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Patience with product development.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make sure you have protectable intellectual property.
- Make sure you know more than anyone else on the subject your product/service fits in.
- Deal with jealous haters like a gentleman.
