Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jany Sabins, Owner of Jany Sabins, LLC., located in Urbana, OH, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Healing! Through massage therapy (sports, medical, craniosacral, socioemotional release, lymph drainage), through my certification as a financial counselor and mental health counselor, a hypnotherapist, and through the healing ministry of my church.

Tell us about yourself

I was inspired to become a massage therapist by my own highly trained bodyworker, and the curiosity I gained in that area inspired me to move to other areas, as well.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being sought after my healing arts, legal and spiritual knowledge, and common sense!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Paperwork and business records, not to mention networking!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a mentor who's done it! Research, research, research.
  2. Do what you do well because that is the foundation of referrals.
  3. Building trust.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

When a 99-year-old woman looks at you with tears in her eyes and says, "I just want this to be over," it is incredibly gratifying when, five weeks later, I ask her how she's feeling, and she responds, "I feel GREAT"!
