Tell us about yourself

As a small business owner, what motivates me the most is maintaining a good work environment for my employees. Although we're all remote, we still know each other on our small team; we root for each other with work and with life. We're a team.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Growing this business by 300x.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The phrase, "It's lonely at the top," is true. It can be hard to manage to be a friendly leader and shield your team from concerns they shouldn't have to worry about. That leaves you in a place where there's sometimes no one else to talk to about the challenges you're facing.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know who your customers are.
  2. Tell family, friends, colleagues, etc., about what you're planning before you launch. If you can have some clients and referral sources lined up before you start, you're ahead of the game.
  3. It's easier than you think. You don't have to feel like you know EVERYTHING to get started. Just get started! You'll figure things out as you go, same as everyone else.
