Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in mental wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Glenn Marsden, Founder of IPC Global, located in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am the founder of one of the world's most publicized Mental Wellbeing Movements, the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign, CEO of IPC Global, and a Motivational Speaker, Mentor, and Author.

My audience does range from both of my businesses; IPC Global addresses Mental Well-being and hits many demographics. My Speaking and Mentoring aims toward busy professionals within the corporate sector.

Tell us about yourself

Both of my businesses actually started by turning pain into purpose. I lost a friend sadly to mental health struggles and had struggled in the past myself. I reached out to many organizations wanting to help them but got no thank you, so I set about making a movement myself without prior experience, which went on to gain International Attention in under 12 months, and the backing of the world's most recognized and respected faces across Entertainment, Sport, Corporate and the Medical Fields. I brought resources, events, and summits together and partnered with Pay It Forward.

Notes To My Younger Self, Amazon Best Selling Book Series to collectively aim to inspire and impact one Billion Lives and step forward as an organization at the forefront of Mental Well-being. From the achievements, opportunities came in to speak, mentor, and coach other organizations and busy professionals. What motivates me each day is knowing that I can make an impact on another person with encouragement to never give up.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would honestly say drawing a point of turning my pain into purpose and being able to impact the lives of many all around the world. To receive emails and messages weekly that the work I do has helped somebody speak up and get help to keep going.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Honestly, it is learning to lead with humility and knowing that when you are under pressure and don't have the answer, you will put your hand up and seek help.
Too many people struggle through and are often too proud to seek help for fear of looking like they have failed.

It is one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner because so many of us put ourselves in a position of being the head of the business, the leader, so it is hard to say when you don't have the answer times.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be patient, set short and long-term goals, and own your truth when going out into the world to make a difference.
