What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a behavioral health therapist. I provide counseling and mental health support to consumers that are suffering from mental illnesses. I also have a nonprofit organization that focuses on supporting individuals through emotional support, financial support, and overall human services.

Tell us about yourself

The reason why I started working on my business was that I wanted to understand what people who were dealing with that was suffering from mental illness. I want it to become a tool and a resource to help people to understand themselves and also to be an advocate for individuals that are not able to speak up for themselves.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is not giving up when obstacles and barriers are in front of me.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things to deal with as a business owner is staying focused and not allowing things to deter you or to lessen your motivation for your goal.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Three tips that I will give to anyone wanting to start run or grow a business are to stay focused, keep pushing, and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it because you can do anything you put your mind to.
