Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dr. Taylor Luster, owner of Inner Sanctum Chiropractic, located in San Antonio, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a specialty chiropractor focusing on helping you find real answers and solutions with full system care. My specialties are autoimmunity, leaky gut, bloodwork, nutrition testing, pregnancy, neuropathy, and overall Gentle chiropractic.

Tell us about yourself

I got started after the medical community failed to find answers for me... 8 surgeries and dozens of diagnoses later. I found chiropractic and truly found better health. If I can find answers for myself, then I know that I can help others with it too. That's what makes all of that worth it!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening Inner Sanctum Chiropractic was quite an experience! But I think the thing I am most proud of is the level of healing I have had to do to grow as a business owner. People don't tell you about that. And I am very proud of it.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Again, the personal growth. You have to learn to do all sorts of things. As funny as it sounds, I had to learn that it was okay to accept money for my services and that patients have to take some responsibility for their own health because I can't do it all for them. These are painful lessons but super important.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Dig deep. It takes more than you think, but you have it in you!
  2. Know clearly what it is that you want and manifest that.
  3. Trust the process. On the days where you feel like it's failing or you can't continue, rest your body and mind. Trust that tomorrow will be better.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am very blessed to have found a career I am so passionate about, and It's what keeps me going. Also, this process takes a team, a community. Maybe not directly because it's definitely mostly on your shoulders, but other people motivate you, support you, remind you to keep going and keep the fire burning.
