Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Luis Arreaza, co-founder of Inner Choice, located in Saint Petersburg, FL, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
We create and deliver programs and content that trains individuals to make their minds work to their advantage. "Making your mind work to your advantage" means that everything we offer trains individuals to become so clear about their thinking that they begin to consciously choose a mindset that takes them to the outcomes that they are seeking. We have to train people to go from chronic anxiety and depression into states of inner harmony and peace. The reason our method works is that we emphasize the importance of integrating the knowledge and techniques into their day-to-day life.
Tell us about yourself
My innermost desire is that whatever I do is just an avenue, a way for people to live better in their own unique way. I have overcome many difficulties like anxiety and depression through the use of the tools and techniques we share. It has been four amazing years of working with individual clients on a one-to-one basis, and now we are growing to train company and athletic teams. Our app is launching on June 1st (inner choice app on Apple Store!), which contains meditations, mental rehearsal, and programs we have called "Journeys," which take people from their current baseline towards a specific outcome: from anxiety to mental peace, from lack of sleep to sleep mastery. We are very excited about this.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The biggest accomplishment is to sustain my family in my own hours, using my time at my discretion and enjoying the benefits of working remotely by living anywhere in the world I want and can afford at this moment!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
In the beginning, being organized has been the hardest part, and then knowing where to efficiently put the time, being able to discern what is important right now and what can be done at another time. But the hardest of all is perfectionism; if you can let that go asap, the better it is for you as an entrepreneur. We have to remember that building a company and a team is a journey; it gets better and easier every day, and having patience is key.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- If you are looking for a business partner, it is best to find someone who enjoys what you are doing as much as you.
- Moments of rest are as important as moments of productivity.
- No matter what you have on your plate, enjoy the moment.
