Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Tala Brinderson, Co-Founder of Infinity Kids, located in Anaheim Hills, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Infinity Kids is a private pediatric practice offering speech, occupational, and physical therapy. The clinic specializes in treating infants to school-aged children with developmental delays, sensory integration (or sensory processing), autism spectrum, feeding delays, swallow dysfunction, language difficulties, and other genetic and neurological disorders. We coach and support individual needs using play and evidence-based practices.

Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for families by providing comprehensive therapy with empathy and love. Core customers are empowered parents concerned with their child’s development who want the best care.

Tell us about yourself

We are the Co-founders and created Infinity Kids in the summer of 2018. Our journey together as OTs started in 2010. We worked in the field of pediatric private practice following graduate school.

Connecting with families and watching the lives of their clients change because of the space we have created is what fuels us. We believe that every child with learning differences deserves the opportunity to thrive. Tailored therapy will lay the groundwork for kids to go to infinity and beyond!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being “OTpreneurs,” opening 3 locations in 4 years with excellent therapists has allowed up to help improve the quality of life for hundreds of families.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Work-Life-Integration, both mothers with young children and co-founders of a dynamic start-up company, is the biggest challenge because there is always more to be done. Learning how to create healthy boundaries in work and home environments has helped us feel we are giving and doing our best in our various roles.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Enjoy the Journey!
  2. Find a supportive network of like-minded business owners that empower you.
