What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a yoga and meditation instructor and retreat director. My clients love my gentle way of instructing yoga and meditation and especially my Reiki touch during savasana at the end of my yoga classes. They say I helped get them through COVID with my positive attitude and encouraging them not to give in to their fears, as well as keeping them active through Zoom classes and the recordings of my Zoom classes on my YouTube channel: Yoga for the Mature Woman - Indira's Kundalini Yoga.
Tell us about yourself
At the age of 50, I decided I needed to become as healthy as possible for the home stretch. I decided to take up yoga and go further to become a yoga instructor to help and encourage other aging people to get fit. My clients often come to me because their doctors have told them to take up yoga. My client's appreciation of me and their health improvement keeps me motivated and inspired.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment has been to encourage my clients, keep them active, well-balanced, and flexible and help them not focus on their fears as their yoga instructor on Zoom during COVID.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Allocating time to best advantage.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be imaginative, be willing to learn new things, and use as much media as possible.
