What's your business, and who are your customers?

I run 'incredibusy,' an independent ethical marketing company - my customers are like-minded brands and individuals who need online marketing support, content creation (video and photography), or social media training. And I've just launched my first product - the incredibusy mini repair loom.

Tell us about yourself

I've been fortunate to have had some amazing influences in my working life. Having worked in the corporate world, running a design studio for a large UK department store chain, I met the founder of a leading ethical childrenswear brand, going on to run their small marketing department for three years before branching out on my own to support other ethical and sustainable brands. I really enjoy working with people with the same goals, with sustainability at their core.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being recognised as a thought leader and being invited to do a TEDx talk on sustainability.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Paperwork, the 'dull' stuff beyond the fun stuff!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Remembering your worth - it's not just how long something takes; your value is in the experience and knowledge you hold.
  2. Enjoy networking. You never know where the next lead will come from.
  3. Be kind.
