Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Leah Baguet, Owner of In Tune Holistic Living, LLC., located in Mesa, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business offers services of Yoga Therapy, Integral Breath Therapy, Meditation, and Holistic Nutrition for those seeking pain management, injury rehabilitation, stress reduction, a healthier lifestyle, emotional release, self-discovery, and transformation to open to your full potential, connect to your true nature, and see your wholeness.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business to help over-stressed workers and under-served populations of the yoga community. My personal journey through holistic healing connected me to a healthier lifestyle which I enjoy sharing with others. My business has evolved over the last several years as I have studied to become a Yoga Therapist.

I am a lifelong learner and passionate about sharing my love of yoga in a unifying and thoughtful way. I meet you where you are and guide you to connect to your body and its innate healing potential. We are all unique and powerful in our own way, and having a connection to our energy reveals the beauty in each moment. Seeing clients recognize this and the barriers to their progress while continuing to nurture a gentleness with self spreads more love into the world and motivates me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I could share about the programs I have created for businesses and city government or my personal accomplishments, but my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the difference I have guided others to recognize in themselves as they begin to practice yoga and bring it into their daily lives. "It's not yoga if it doesn't change your life."

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As a solely-owned woman business, the biggest challenge is doing it all myself, from finance to marketing to website design and production, while maintaining course offerings and guiding clients in individual sessions. It's a juggling act, and finding a balance between work and home life can be hard at times. The trade-off of the difference made in people's lives is worth it!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. You can think about it all day or do it. Do it! You will learn from your mistakes along the way and refine things as needed. There is no need to have it all perfect from the start because it never will be.
  2. Refine your resources and ask for help when needed. Trading services is a great way to get help and offer help at the same time.
  3. Keep at it! Don't give up. Maybe take a step back and look at what needs adjusting as you move forward. You don't need to do it all at once, and it's okay to shift and change as you evolve your business. If you are passionate and it brings you joy, it is your calling, even if it seems hard at times.
