What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a wellness consultant and writer: I work with both companies and individuals on their stress management, work/life balance, and wellness needs. I also write copy for companies in the form of websites, blog posts, marketing, etc.
Tell us about yourself
I am a published author, certified stress management coach, and guided meditation and EFT tapping practitioner who leads wellness workshops across the U.S. and Canada. I also co-founded the wellness company, In the Life of Zen.
For decades, I’ve written for and worked in the health and wellness industries and know that when people take the time to prioritize their spiritual, physical, and mental health, it leads to more balanced, happier living. When we get our head, heart, and body in alignment, life becomes more enjoyable, and I love helping people get to that place.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Anytime I help make someone's life easier - that's the best part.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The frustrations often come from maneuvering logistics in unchartered territories.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- If you can dream it, you can have it. The only thing getting in your way is you.
- You'll probably want to give up a million times over, but if you keep on keeping on, then you'll eventually get there.
- Don't sell yourself short: your time and talents are valuable and worth compensation.
