What's your business, and who are your customers?
Illuminated Design is a specialty lighting design consulting firm located in Naples, Florida. Our clients include the homeowner, the trade (architects, landscape architects, and interior designers), industry partners (general contractors, electrical contractors, cabinet purveyors, and stone fabricators).
Tell us about yourself
The passion for our trade and the opportunities to create the most beautiful lighting environments for our client's homes is our biggest motivator. We strive to produce unique and inviting spaces and designs for lifestyle, not just products/services.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We never give up! We maintain perseverance through both the good and challenging times - and most of all, we always want to make sure that our staff and clients are happy.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It can be challenging to juggle managing a business and customer relations, as well as creating the most optimal client experiences.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know your trade very well.
- Develop a thought-out business plan for both growth and survival/sustainability.
- Form as many partnerships and alliances as we can - with peers and the community at large.
