What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are personal training in a group setting and the perfect workout in an hour! We cater to the extra beginner all the way to super advanced. We give you all the tools to tackle your goals from every angle. Here we build relationships that change lives!
Tell us about yourself
Former athlete turned personal trainer and into director. Worked for a big box commercial gym, and everybody became more of a number to me because of the pressure from up top. Forgot why I got into fitness in the first place and almost left all together. I decided to open my own thing instead, and a few years later, here we are at Illuminate Sweat, where we change lives daily! Couldn't be happier with what we've built.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Opening 2 months before COVID and, thanks to our amazing members, survived and flourished to where we are now:)
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
When you haven't been a business owner before, it just knows what all it entails to be a successful business owner. Lots of lessons are learned with trial by fire. Get a mentor or two to learn from and make relationships with others in your industry.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Pray about everything!
- Start reading and broaden your knowledge base.
- Build a great team that fosters a good culture.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Nothing is ever going to be perfect, so set yourself up for success as much as possible and just take the leap! You will mold it into perfection as you grow.
