Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Iacopo Di Luigi, Co-Founder of IDL HUB Ltd., located in London, UK.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help coaches, consultants, and business owners build and grow profitable youtube channels for their businesses.

Tell us about yourself

My wife and I 2016 launched a dance channel that quickly became an online business, impacting thousands of people worldwide. The track is called "Lazy Dancer Tips," and it's about bringing the joy of ballet to all the adult dancers who want to dance for the pleasure of it in adulthood. We grew our first youtube channel to 200k+ subs and have built a multiple 6-figure business/year that almost runs by itself.

I then decided to take all the knowledge gathered through these years of trial and error to help other talented human beings to get to the same level of success we've experienced. Let them discover how to grow an audience on youtube, get clarity on the non-salesy marketing and selling techniques to impact lives, and grow profit.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am mainly having built a business that improves people's lives. I also work with my wife on our passion for creating something that is helping fulfill our missions and supporting our lifestyle.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The ability to go through "pain" or "suffering" for an extended period of time, when things don't go as planned or expected, can be adamant to sustain in the long term. In order to grow, it's necessary to step outside the comfort zone and be able to pick yourself up during down times. Celebrating and moving forward during up times is one of the hardest things to master for a business owner.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Audience first. Start working on your brand immediately. Even if you don't have anything for sale, make sure you validate your values out there. This way, you'll attract the perfect clients that will tell YOU what they want and need.
  2. Learn Marketing and how to create irresistible offers. You can be the best in the world at something, but if you can't articulate how your talent can change somebody's life, you won't make it.
  3. Get your "money story" right. So many talented people are afraid of selling and don't do it, especially don't do it the right way. Understanding your worth and making people charge the right price for your product/service is one of the most essential pillars of any business.
