Tell us about yourself

After years in the bodybuilding world and working as a personal trainer in both the private sector and commercial gyms, I was inspired to expand my reach. I started hiring like-minded trainers who shared the same passion I had for helping people. We now lead a growing team with impressive fitness training certifications, college degrees in the kinesiology of exercise and wellness, years of hands-on experience, and continued education. I seek to revolutionize the health and fitness industry through Ideal Physiques. At an early age, I witnessed how the corporate fitness industry breaks banks without giving clients the true worth of their money. I hope to make a difference by providing each client with true experts and reasonably-priced services while equipping them with the right information, tools, and techniques to achieve overall fitness success.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As a business owner, my biggest accomplishment has been staying in business through difficult times like COVID. In fact, we were blessed enough to have the opportunity to grow and double our business through those difficult times.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Prioritization of time has been one of the hardest things for a business owner. Because my business is like my baby, I tend to want a hand in every aspect of the business, especially in the beginning phases. This spreads me thin and has hindered areas of the business that needed my attention more.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. You will have a lot of disappointing and stressful moments, do not let them get to you. Stick to your plan, learn from your mistakes and just keep going.
  2. The growth phase of the business will have a lot of difficult decisions that usually involve the re-investment of funds. So save as much as you can so when the time to scale comes, you are ready.
  3. Hire people you align with but who are willing to challenge your ideas. This will help weed out bad ideas and help the good ideas flourish!
