Tell us about yourself

I saw a stage hypnotist when I was 5 years old and always wanted to understand how hypnosis worked. Twenty years later, I figured out the magic behind it and discovered hypnotherapy, which is different from stage hypnosis. In my early 20s, I used hypnosis to help me with public speaking confidence, overcome my fear of driving, learn to speak slower and more pronounced with almost no accent. I use self-hypnosis to this day. There is always something to work on and improve. What keeps me motivated is seeing my private clients get better with hypnosis and also seeing my business HypnoCloud gradually growing with user base. I enjoy engaging with users and doing monthly meditations.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment so far is the launch of our HypnoCloud app in the Apple and Google Play stores. Before that, we were an online store for hypnosis audios and, after that, a membership-based online platform. It is so much better to be an app - we give our customers what they need and want!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that comes to being an owner is to keep showing up when things are not flowing the way you want. Keep mentally acting as if you are successful, even when things get tight and it seems like you are losing ground.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Try a low-cost budget first, get to know your user, and then invest more.
  2. Never try a business to see if it works. Be sure to have your mission in mind, then start testing your strategies.
  3. Plan your days and tasks; always rely on your calendar way ahead.
