A startup that builds and sells smart insulated beehives that is machine learning to notify beekeepers when to check on their hive and what must be done.

Tell us about yourself

I’ve always been an entrepreneur, and bees have always fascinated me. I couldn’t find a better beehive with integrated monitoring, so I decided to build my own.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I bootstrapped an energy company to $5 mil ARR.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Starting off is always tough. Keeping with it and having faith your vision will blossom.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't listen to anyone other than the proven successful advice aligned with yours.
  2. Do not sell yourself short with equity; you’ll never get it back.
  3. Build a community of supporters before launching a product.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

The future is changed by entrepreneurs' ideas that are acted on. Very little is acted on, and imagine what our world would be like if everyone took a chance with their idea.
