What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Motivational Speaking, Life Coaching & Content Creation. I create motivational content via YouTube, Instagram & Facebook that everyone can watch & listen to without paying anything for it. My main channel has playlists that will help you throughout your day, week, or month and it is all subjective. Whether you are looking for that morning, pick me up or that motivational talk about helping you make the decision you are on the fence about, I have it all there.

My customers aren't really customers, but they are anyone who is looking for help with their mental health, life, trauma & situations that they themselves do not understand. I truly believe that in order for us to thrive as human beings, we must become the love that we want in the world. My team and I have discovered the beautiful gift of giving, and we have been able to give back continuously with no expectations. This has been rewarding as the content that we place into the world now has the world coming back to us requesting more.

Tell us about yourself

I have always wanted to write a book; however, I never had a reason. I started writing in 2016, and during the first month of 2021, I realized my reason is my life. I wanted to write a book that would give the reader transparency into my life & help anyone realize that they, too, are not alone in their journey. Every day is a new opportunity for anyone to wake up and seize any opportunity they desire as long as the Hustle is placed into work. I don't want anyone to go through any of the misfortunes that I had to go through, so I will always continue to help anyone that seeks it.

In 2016 I started writing a motivational piece; however, I had no story behind why I was writing it. I figured that I needed to give the book a reason & better yet, give the reader a reason to purchase the book. It wasn't until 2021 that I realized my reason was very obvious this whole time. I decided to really open up to the world about my misfortunes and what I had gone through so that they, too, could become closer to me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

One of my largest accomplishments is helping an absolute stranger through their tough times. I received many messages indicating that after reading my book, the reader felt as if they were no longer alone and were much closer to figuring out what they needed to do to become better. I was able to release my book on June 21, 2021. Another accomplishment is that I was able to receive 1000 subscribers on youtube within the first couple of months after launching the channel.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Understanding that you can not do it all on your own is probably one of the hardest tasks that need to be understood. I could not have done any of the work that I had placed in the past without my team at Vivid Edge Productions and all those that have stepped forward to help me out. I understand that if the team succeeds, I can succeed as well. Another aspect that I found while writing Hustle 4 Happiness: A Decades walk understood patience and what is required to accomplish different tasks. Everything worthwhile needs time to be built properly, and with time comes the hard work we must put in. We may not realize it right away; however, the hard work does become apparent when the outcome starts equaling the income.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  • Be forgiving to yourself first and foremost. You are going to make mistakes, and that is okay. These are mistakes that you can learn from and adapt to so that you may perfect the way you do business.
  • The second tip would be to adapt to your surroundings. This will not only allow you to continuously move forward in life, but it will allow you to understand innovation. We, as business owners, can not continuously perform the same tasks or adhere to the same methods of sales without always looking for new ways to get to our audience.
  • The final piece of advice I would give is to be patient & disciplined. Patience is a key factor for those that want to build long-term goals. You must be disciplined enough not to stray from your goals and patient enough to understand that it, too, takes time.
