What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is in the beauty industry, Nails. I specialize in Unique, Customized Press-On Nails. My customers are those who love, need to feel, and yearn for beauty. And let's not forget those who just want to try something different or just want to be different.
Tell us about yourself
I have always loved everything related to the beauty industry, no matter which area. I was the one who was shy and quiet on the outside but bold and loud on the inside. It just took a while to let my inner voice out. One day after leaving the nail salon. I got fed up with the nail service as well as the customer service from the owner and the nail techs that serviced my nails ( I had been using her services for two years). I decided to make a change, and that decision gave me a creative outlet to freely express my passion and love of art!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is taking the initial first step to actually begin the process of owning and running a business. I believe that once you get out of your head and just do it, you can learn as you go.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I don't see any challenges when you are starting in the beauty industry. Beauty sells itself; either people will buy it or they will not! When you are determined, like me, I don't see any challenges that I cannot overcome.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Search for your idea. Make sure it is something that you are going to want to do and enjoy. Research your business and competition.
- Formulate your business plan. Include all aspects of what you would need to start your business, including cost, business license, etc.
- Determination! Don't wait. Get your idea out into the world. Know your reason why you want to do this.
