Tell us about yourself

There came the point in my life five years ago when I began to question my purpose and what was the drive behind the work I was seeking to obtain. I transitioned out of the military as an intelligence analyst with plans to continue on this path, but a door would not open, and I eventually took that as a sign. I knew that my purpose was to serve others, and the one thing I also knew on a personal level was physical and mental dis-ease and the holistic ways to self-heal. I decided to take what I had experienced and combine it with my purpose to create a Holistic Bio. I never want anyone to be in a place of such darkness because of their health that they take their life. My future clients and the opportunity to serve and help have always been my motivation for what I do.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I completely changed career paths, went back to school, and worked three part-time jobs in order to grow my Holistic Bio. The accomplishment of starting over and achieving what I have set out to do is something I will never forget and always be proud of.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It is important to accept that not everyone will understand and support your dream. The only person that needs to understand and believe in it, is you. There is a reason you were given the vision and not someone else.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Really establish your purpose in this life and allow that to be the foundation of your business.
  2. You will have to try many things in order to figure out if you want to adopt them into your business structure. Being open to exploring and accepting things as a learning experience versus a loss can really help create a unique business.
  3. Don't be afraid to go against what is considered normal because, really..what is normal nowadays?
