What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is all about education, recreation, wellness, competitive, performing arts, modeling, placements for models and acting individuals, events, and entertainment.

Tell us about yourself

My name is Hetal Joshi; I am known in the performing arts world as Hetal Nagaraj. I am celebrating 38 years of consistent trainings, transparent/straight background, education, experience, and expertise in Indian Performing Arts as of 2022 (Bharatanatyam, Sadir, Kshatriyas, Kalaripat/Kalaripayattu, Indian Folk Dances-all, Chhau, Hip-hop, Fitness, Diet-Food Thy Medicine, Sports, Wellness, Contemporary, Modern, Theater, Theatre, Stage, Lights, Costumes, Fusion Dances, and Movie Dances/Bollywood) with absolutely straight/transparent background, year by year. What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Our graduates by genre and by program, Gifting a beautiful career to my students, Gifting love of performing arts, laws, and Awareness of performing arts and how it is beneficial to life, and it is such a blessing to attract people from all walks of life including non-Indians join my programs and join me! A career too; if they choose to do it on a serious note or for fun-side hustle with straight background irrespective of the level of class they join! From once-a-week classes to international-level dancers and models, some of which were purely recreational dancers, people were under the impression that all they do is dance. It is an honor to offer such a beautiful gift to them with a once-a-week class. We have 18 artists under me on different assignments of modeling, dancing, and entertainment services, and I have some internship students who are working under different brands under my leadership and training. It is an absolute pleasure for me to offer them a career-like option to choose to do so!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

For somebody like me who is well versed with business tactics and knowledge by education, every time you are in the next level of growth, there are totally new challenges, especially if you are independent and self-sustaining business model from the capital, grants, and such arrangements, receivables processing late and several other setbacks that usually businesses depend on for income. We are entering the entertainment field with performing arts and such activities, and we see different challenges.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Make sure you have a self-sustaining model that, without putting effort, it brings income, a good plan of action with additional backup in need of capital, and a good backup of capital in hand without loans! If you keep waiting on loans and such, you will prob take forever to clear that. Loans and such options are available, but they take a while! At the end of the day, money pays for it! As a business owner or investor, you should have full knowledge of the field that you can run through without a single staff if, at some point, you may or may not have! In today's world, you should be able to survive and still earn enough from business irrespective of your collabs! If you need people to survive, you should be in politics!
