What's your business, and who are your customers?
As an Herbalist and Holistic Advisor who fervently believes in the benefits of herbs and the Power of Positive Healing, I strive to educate others in their quest for a more natural and healthier path to Health and Beauty.
Tell us about yourself
My Grandmother was a natural healer before anyone ever recognized the title. As a result, I did not have to rely on the white coats for the most part regarding my health issues. She also instilled in me the Power of Positive Thinking and how much we can empower ourselves with our minds.
My Grandmother, even though long gone now, still speaks to my heart and urges me in addition to my strong belief in what I am doing.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The resulting improvements clients, friends, and family obtain when they ask for and receive suggestions in regard to whatever health issue they are experiencing. To know I have helped those who need it is the pinnacle of my hard work and educational successes.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As an Herbalist, it would have to be two things: assisting a client with a health issue and, for whatever reason, they opt out of it for reasons unknown to me. Herbalism is a hard concept for many people. They are so indoctrinated in the Western Medical System it is a difficult switch to go all natural. Many white coats who are extremely educated and experienced were never trained in any Herbal practices, and as a result, it is often looked down upon.
While I can understand it to a point, it remains my biggest obstacle. If only the Western and Eastern health philosophies could and would work in tandem, it would be wonderful. The second obstacle is not being able to get my website more well-known and available to a larger audience.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Patience, Patience, and Patience. !! Also, having the commitment to work hard at constantly researching your subject.
- Realizing the importance of continued education in your chosen field and pursuing that as your goal.
- One can never stop learning.
